No Cute Things Allowed!

Here's something that I put together with the "masked Death" character that I posted last time. Attempted to go for something a little bit more stylized than what I've been cranking out lately. Overall, quite happy with it.

As per usual, line work was all done in Flash, and the coloring and texturizing was done in Photoshop.

Random Death Mask!

So...i've got some projects that I should be working on...but instead I decided to draw this guy.

Originally started as a sketch that I did in a friend's notebook...I'm happy with it, especially considering how quickly I was able to finish it.

Random Bits

hmm...maybe that's what I should've named my blog instead, Random Bits...nice ring to it eh?

Anyway, nothing too exciting here, slowly working on some more stuff, attempting a character sheet for an imagined comic that i'd like to do somewhere down the line.

also, here's a really awesome interview with Jonathan Hickman, the man behind the Manhattan Projects comics (very awesome, very worth reading)

Quick look at what i've been working on

BEWARE, SPACE SQUIDS!!!

So, amongst other things...I've finally finished another project (no it's not "H"), this was something that originally came around through a physical sketching thing I did with some friends at a coffee shop.

Random bits from the internet

Hey all, still busy with work amongst other things, and while I think I may have finally overcome my latest artist's block I have nothing finished yet to show for it (that will come later).

Instead I thought i'd update to show off some articles that I found interesting whilst perusing the open vastness of the internet.

First up we have an article talking about Disney's new short film Paperman, which is supposed to debut before the upcoming videogame homage movie, Wreck It Ralph: (CLicK Me!)

Next up is a short but sweet interview with (one of my) favorite comic book artists Fiona Staples about her work on the excellent Saga series, also gives a peek at the cover for issue #8: (cLickY cliCKY)

Now I know that this isn't necessarily a personal update, but I thought that I'd share some of the creative stuff that I've been reading around the internet. Promise that the next update will have some sort of art to go with it

Sorry, been a bit busy!

Sorry for the lack of updates lately...been busy with school stuff, summer vacation, and finally the dreaded artist's block (thought I had overcome it, but alas...).

So whilst I struggle to get over my drawing funk i'll post a bit of a project I started the other day.
